Actual rate depends on subject taught, your qualifications and experience (IPG-trained / ex-KPM teacher / graduate), and lesson format. The role
What you will do
- Plan and deliver targeted SPM revision for Tingkatan 4-5 students aligned to the KSSM syllabus and LPM kertas format (e.g. Matematik 1449, English 1119, Sejarah 1249).
- Diagnose each student’s weak topics paper-by-paper and build a measurable plan to lift gred from B/C territory into A / A+.
- Train marking-scheme-aligned answering: skema jawapan precision, Bahagian B/C essay structure, and timed exam technique.
- Run timed mock papers, mark them against LPM standards, and drill must-pass subjects (Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah) so no student fails the floor.
- Share regular, honest progress reports with parents, including projected gred and what it takes to push one band higher.
Who we are looking for
- A relevant degree in your subject area (e.g. Matematik, Sains, Bahasa, Ekonomi, Akaun).
- IPG-trained tutors and ex-KPM teachers are strongly preferred and earn at the upper end of the range.
- Strong command of the current SPM (KSSM) syllabus, LPM gred scale (A+ to F), and recent kertas trends across at least one core or elective subject.
- At least 1 year of upper-secondary teaching or tutoring experience (Tingkatan 4-5, or equivalent IGCSE / O-Level).
- Based in Malaysia and eligible to work here.
- Reliable, organised, and genuinely good with teenage students under exam pressure.
