The role
What you will do
- Plan and deliver 1-to-1 or small-group Ekonomi lessons aligned to the STPM Ekonomi 944 syllabus across Semester 1 (microeconomics), Semester 2 (macroeconomics) and Semester 3 (Malaysian economy and integration), and to Cambridge A-Level Economics 9708 where relevant.
- Diagnose each student's gaps in core theory: scarcity, demand and supply, market structures, market failures, monetary and fiscal policy, international trade and development, and build a focused, measurable learning plan.
- Drill case-study and essay technique for MPM-set STPM papers and Cambridge structured-response papers, including data response and evaluation marks.
- Set and mark practice scripts against LPM/MPM and Cambridge mark schemes, applying Malaysian policy examples such as Belanjawan, Bank Negara monetary policy and Wawasan Kemakmuran Bersama for context.
- Share regular, honest progress updates with parents after each topic, school-based assessment or trial paper.
Who we are looking for
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.
- IPG-trained tutors and ex-KPM teachers are strongly preferred.
- Strong command of the STPM Ekonomi 944 syllabus and/or Cambridge A-Level Economics 9708 across micro, macro and the Malaysian economy.
- Confident with case-study analysis, structured essay technique and applying Malaysian policy examples to exam questions.
- At least 1 year of tutoring or classroom teaching experience at Tingkatan 6 / A-Level level.
- Based in Malaysia and eligible to work here, reliable and genuinely good with students.
